Uber Acquires Drizly for Approximately $1.1 Billion

Uber Technologies, Inc. has completed its acquisition of Drizly, the North American on-demand alcohol marketplace, for roughly $1.1 billion in stock and cash. Drizly will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary and its marketplace will be integrated into the Uber Eats app while maintaining a separate Drizly experience.

The spinout — which will focus on scaling the Careem super app (food and grocery delivery, digital payments, and other on-demand services) — was announced by Careem; Uber's exact remaining stake in the spinout is not disclosed and the ride-hailing business was reported as still owned by Uber.

Uber To Acquire Getir's Türkiye Delivery Portfolio

Uber Technologies and Mubadala Investment Company said they have agreed on Uber’s acquisition of Getir’s delivery portfolio in Türkiye, covering food, grocery, retail, and water delivery, subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. After closing, Uber plans to integrate Getir’s operations with Trendyol Go delivery under Uber, while Getir customers will continue using the Getir Super App.

DoorDash to Acquire Deliveroo

DoorDash has reached an agreement with Deliveroo’s board for a recommended final cash acquisition of the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Deliveroo. Under the terms, Deliveroo shareholders will receive 180 pence per share, valuing Deliveroo at approximately £2.9 billion (about £2.4 billion enterprise value), with the deal expected to close in Q4 2025 subject to conditions.
