Mercedes-Benz has acquired YASA, an Oxford-based pioneer of axial-flux electric motor technology, with YASA operating as a wholly owned subsidiary and retaining its brand, team and facilities. YASA's axial-flux e-motors and engineering team will support Mercedes-AMG's electric-only platform to deliver higher power density and improved performance for future electric Mercedes-AMG vehicles.
