The combined organization will be headquartered in Evansville, Indiana; MPR was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of Tessenderlo Kerley Inc. and the deal closed August 8, 2021.

Amtech Systems, Inc. acquired Entrepix, Inc., a provider of chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) technology and wafer cleaning equipment, in a reverse triangular merger that closed on January 17, 2023 for $35 million. The acquisition adds Entrepix's CMP technology, remanufacturing capabilities and wafer cleaning products to Amtech's substrate processing and wet chemical offerings to accelerate growth in front-end wafer processing, including silicon carbide applications.
