Veterinary Acquisitions in Canada

Lakefield Veterinary Group announced a strategic minority investment from Peloton Capital Management, a Toronto-based private investment firm. Lakefield will remain majority-owned by the Desmarais family, and the investment is intended to support Lakefield’s disciplined M&A strategy and expansion of its network of veterinary hospitals.

ProSites, a marketing technology solutions provider and portfolio company of Rockbridge Growth Equity, acquired LifeLearn Animal Health, a provider of marketing, customer communication, education, and software solutions for veterinary practices across North America. The deal expands ProSites’ offerings in the veterinary vertical and establishes a Canadian presence in the greater Toronto area (Guelph, Ontario). Sampford Advisors advised LifeLearn on the sale, and Copper Run Capital served as buy-side advisor for the LifeLearn acquisition.

Persistence Capital Partners (PCP) made an investment in Summit Veterinary Pharmacy, a Canadian veterinary compounding pharmacy serving veterinary clinics across Canada. Summit is headquartered in Aurora, Ontario, and the investment represents PCP Fund III’s fourth platform investment; transaction terms were not disclosed.

Peloton Capital Management (PCM) made a significant investment in P3 Veterinary Partners (P3), a Canadian network of veterinary practices. The funding will support P3’s expansion across Canada and enhance its back-office, marketing, and operational capabilities. Transaction terms were not disclosed.
