Middle-market private equity firm HKW has acquired Handling Systems and Conveyors, Inc. (HSC), a vertically integrated designer, manufacturer, installer and service provider of cranes, hoists, conveyors and tooling solutions. HKW said it will support HSC’s growth by expanding service penetration, investing in new geographic locations and pursuing strategic add-on acquisitions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Circumference Group, an operationally focused investment firm, acquired a majority stake in Broadband Development Group (BDG), a Little Rock-based provider of fiber-based commercial broadband and managed Wi-Fi solutions for the multifamily (MDU) market. DSV has sold 100% of USA Truck to UTAC, LLC, a private Arkansas-based entity formed by current and former USA Truck leaders including CEO George Henry, former CFO Zachary King and former CEO James Reed. The deal returns the 42-year-old carrier to U.S.-based ownership; financial terms were not disclosed and DSV said the sale positions USA Truck for future growth under local management.
