Faber Connect, a technology-enabled construction recruitment and staffing platform, acquired Edmonton-based Prime Staffing in a transaction completed in June 2025. The deal expands Faber’s reach in Alberta by adding Prime Staffing’s large pool of ready-to-work tradespeople, while integrating Prime’s operations onto Faber’s software platform to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Amrop Rosin and Humanis Calgary (formerly Pekarsky & Co.) are merging to build a stronger, national executive search presence in Canada. The combined firm will operate under the Amrop global brand and the Amrop Rosin name, adding an established Western Canadian (Calgary) team to Amrop Rosin’s platform.

Phelps acquired Gallagher's Canadian Executive Search Practice to strengthen its national presence in Canada and expand operations in Calgary, Edmonton, and Montreal. The acquired team will continue operating with local leadership while integrating into Phelps' national executive search platform. The transaction follows related expansion activity within the Panorama global network, including Buffkin / Baker’s acquisition of Gallagher’s U.S. executive search practice.

24 Seven, a privately held marketing, creative, and digital talent solutions firm, announced the acquisition of CORE Resources. Toronto-based CORE Resources provides technology talent solutions and staff augmentation/delivery services to Canada’s financial services sector, strengthening 24 Seven’s capabilities in specialized technology talent solutions and expanding its presence in financial technology-focused staffing.

JobGet, an app-first hiring platform for hourly/frontline workers, acquired Wirkn, a frontline recruiting platform focused on malls and shopping centers. The deal (closed May 24, 2024; terms undisclosed) expands JobGet’s retail footprint and adds Wirkn’s ATS and network of more than 17,000 mall, retail, and restaurant locations, while maintaining the Wirkn brand for the foreseeable future.

Vensure Employer Solutions acquired Canadian Payroll Services (CPS) to broaden its presence in Canada and expand HR, payroll, and employer-of-record services across North America. Premier Health of America Inc. signed a binding share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Solutions Staffing Inc., a British Columbia-based healthcare staffing agency focused on specialized healthcare staffing and travel nurse operations. The deal consideration is C$21 million in cash at closing (subject to working capital and tax adjustments) plus up to an estimated C$4 million in deferred variable consideration tied to EBITDA targets over two years (up to C$25 million total), and is expected to close in approximately 45 days subject to customary conditions including TSXV approval.

TMG Search Canada Ltd., a division of The Mullings Group, announced the acquisition of VX Search Group, Inc., an executive search firm serving Western Canada. The deal supports TMG Search Canada’s expansion strategy in Canada and integrates VX Search’s team and regional relationships into TMG’s broader talent acquisition platform.

Cornell Capital LLC and TorQuest Partners completed an investment in (i.e., acquisition of) S.i. Systems ULC, one of Canada’s largest information technology staffing companies. The company will retain its headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, and the partners will work with CEO and founder Derek Bullen and the management team to support continued growth across Canada and expansion in North America. Quad-C Management sold its stake in S.i. Systems as part of the transaction; financial terms were not disclosed.

S.i. Systems ULC completed the acquisition of xiBOSS Corporation, a national IT staffing company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. The combination brings together complementary customer bases and is intended to expand centers of excellence and enhance staffing solutions for clients across Canada. Canadian Business Growth Fund (CBGF) made a $10 million minority growth equity investment in Kudos, Inc., an employee recognition, people analytics, and organizational communications platform. The funding is intended to support Kudos’ accelerated growth trajectory and global expansion from its Calgary, Alberta base.

Equus Workforce Solutions and Agilec combined effective July 1, 2021, with Agilec continuing to operate under its existing name. The transaction expands Equus’ workforce development footprint into Ontario, Canada, adding Agilec’s 21 Ontario locations and capabilities in professional services, government services, and vocational rehabilitation.

S.i. Systems ULC, a Canadian IT staffing company, completed the acquisition of Annex Consulting Group, an IT staffing and consulting firm based in Vancouver. The deal strengthens S.i. Systems’ presence in Western Canada and creates the largest IT staffing firm in British Columbia; financial terms were not disclosed.
