Yuga Labs has acquired PROOF, bringing the PROOF Collective, Moonbirds, Oddities, Mythics, and Grails exhibition series and the PROOF team and IP into the Yuga ecosystem. Kevin Rose will transition to an advisory role while several PROOF team members (including Josh Ong, Jesse Bryan, and Amanda Gadbow) move to Yuga; Yuga plans to integrate Moonbirds into its Otherside metaverse and expand its digital art and community capabilities.

Lionbridge Acquires Rocket Sound

Kian Capital-backed Sdii Global Acquires Roar Engineering

Kian Capital-backed Sdii Global, LLC completed the acquisition of Roar Engineering Inc., a Mississauga-based forensic engineering firm. The deal expands Sdii's forensic engineering platform into Canada and broadens its service offering in areas such as fire and explosion investigation, accident reconstruction and electrical/mechanical forensics.

Yahoo Acquires Artifact, the AI-driven News Platform by Instagram Co-founders

Yahoo has acquired Artifact, the AI-driven news aggregation and personalization platform created by Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Artifact will stop operating as a standalone app and its AI personalization technology will be integrated into Yahoo products, including the Yahoo News app; the acquisition closed on March 29, 2024 and financial terms were not disclosed. Systrom and Krieger will serve in an advisory capacity during the transition.
