Weston Forest Acquires Kings Wood Products

Weston Forest, a Mississauga-based distributor and remanufacturer of lumber and specialty panel products, has acquired Kings Wood Products of Paris, Ontario. The deal expands Weston's Canadian manufacturing base and adds Kings' pallets, boxes and specialty packaging capabilities to Weston's industrial product offering.

OrePac Building Products, a family-owned wholesale supplier based in Wilsonville, Oregon, has agreed to acquire Western Timber Products, a specialty softwood lumber and custom millwork manufacturer headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The deal, announced Feb. 26, 2024, is expected to close around early April 2024 and will keep Western Timber's owner Dan Seid involved to assist in the transition.

GreyLion Acquires Norwood Sawmills

GreyLion, a New York-based private equity firm, acquired Norwood Sawmills, a portable sawmill manufacturer based in Ontario, Canada, with Monroe Capital arranging senior debt to support the transaction. GreyLion said the investment will fund growth initiatives including hiring, sales and marketing expansion, product development and technology investments; the firm also announced a separate investment in Webconnex.
