Westlake Acquires Hexion's Global Epoxy Business for ~$1.2B

Westlake Chemical Corporation completed the acquisition of Hexion Inc.'s global epoxy business for approximately $1.2 billion in an all-cash transaction. The acquired business—to be branded Westlake Epoxy and headquartered in Rotterdam—adds specialty epoxy resins, modifiers and curing agents that expand Westlake's coatings and composites capabilities for end markets such as wind energy, automotive and aerospace.
