Varian Medical Systems to Acquire Cancer Treatment Services International from TPG Growth

Varian Medical Systems has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cancer Treatment Services International (CTSI) from TPG Growth / Asia Healthcare Holdings for $283 million. CTSI operates a network of oncology hospitals, diagnostic and treatment services across India and South Asia (including the American Oncology Institute and AmPath), employs more than 1,500 people, and the deal is expected to close in roughly two weeks subject to customary conditions.

Varian (Siemens Healthineers) Acquires Aspekt Solutions from L2 Capital

Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, has acquired Aspekt Solutions, a provider of medical physics, dosimetry and radiation oncology consulting and staffing services. The seller was L2 Capital, which realized its 2017 investment in the business; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Varian's Advanced Oncology Solutions offerings and its ability to deliver customized clinical and operational support to oncology providers.

Novartis to Acquire MorphoSys in $2.9 Billion Deal

HEALWELL AI Inc. has agreed to acquire VeroSource Solutions Inc. for total consideration of approximately $24.5 million in a two-step transaction (initial ~51% on July 1, 2024 and remaining ~49% expected about January 1, 2025), payable in cash, HEALWELL subordinate voting shares and a performance-based earn-out. VeroSource, a Canadian health-data interoperability and digital-front-door platform serving provincial health clients, is expected to generate over $8 million in 2024 with strong recurring revenue and margins and will expand HEALWELL's population-health and AI-driven capabilities.
