The Sherwin-Williams Company announced an agreement to acquire Gross & Perthun GmbH, a Mannheim, Germany–based developer, manufacturer and distributor of industrial coatings primarily serving the heavy equipment and transportation industries. Gross & Perthun has about 100 employees and roughly $50 million in annual sales; the business will become part of Sherwin-Williams' Performance Coatings Group and the transaction was expected to close by the end of Q3 2022.

Westlake Chemical Corporation agreed to acquire Boral Limited’s North American building products businesses covering roofing, siding/trim/shutters, decorative stone, and windows for $2.15 billion in an all-cash transaction. The deal was expected to close in the second half of 2021 and would nearly double Westlake’s building products business. A subsequent update says Westlake completed the acquisition.
