EBSCO Capital Acquires Bailey International from Pfingsten Partners

EBSCO Capital has acquired Bailey International, a Knoxville-based manufacturer and distributor of fluid power components, from Pfingsten Partners. Bailey, founded in 1976 with more than 200 employees, makes hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, hoses and related components for OEMs and repair/distribution channels; Pfingsten had owned Bailey since 2012.

Saothair Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake in T BAILEY

Saothair Capital Partners has acquired a majority equity stake in T BAILEY, LLC, a vertically integrated manufacturer of above-ground industrial tanks, pressure vessels, marine pontoons and other large custom steel solutions based in Anacortes, Washington. Founder and CEO Gene Tanaka will remain in a meaningful ownership position and continue to lead the business; financing was provided by Polen Capital and legal/financial advisors included McGuireWoods, Holland & Hart and TM Capital.

Balmoral Funds Affiliate Acquires R.H. Sheppard Co., Inc.

An affiliate of Balmoral Funds LLC has acquired R.H. Sheppard Co., Inc. from Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC (a North American subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse). The transaction establishes Sheppard as an independent, PE-backed platform focused on steering technologies for Class 5-8 trucks, with management and operational investment planned to drive growth and innovation.

Colson Group (via Shepherd Hardware) Acquires Forearm Forklift

Colson Group, through its retail subsidiary Shepherd Hardware, acquired Forearm Forklift (A.A.C. Forearm Forklift, Inc.) to broaden Shepherd Hardware’s product offerings in the material handling and ergonomic lifting space. The purchase will integrate Forearm Forklift’s lifting straps into Shepherd Hardware’s distribution network and leverage Colson Group’s global footprint to expand market reach.

Specialty Building Products (SBP) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Amerhart, a third-generation regional distributor of specialty building materials. The acquisition expands SBP’s product offering and Midwest footprint while Amerhart will retain its brand, management team and locations under SBP ownership; the deal is expected to close in Q1 2023.
