Mosaic Clinical Technologies, the technology and AI services division of Radiology Partners, has acquired Cognita Imaging Inc., a radiology-focused AI company that emerged from stealth. The acquisition integrates Cognita's vision-language foundation models into MosaicOS to expand diagnostic capacity, improve accuracy and accelerate deployment of AI-powered radiology tools across Radiology Partners' national network.

Atos has completed the acquisition of Ipsotek, a London-based provider of AI-enhanced video analytics, strengthening Atos' Edge AI and computer vision capabilities. Ipsotek brings its VISuite platform, approximately 50 professionals and more than 600 projects across 38 countries to Atos' portfolio to support public sector, retail, transportation, manufacturing and critical infrastructure use cases.

Philips Agrees to Acquire SpectraWAVE to Expand AI-Enabled Coronary Imaging and Physiology Portfolio

Philips has agreed to acquire SpectraWAVE, a Bedford, Massachusetts-based developer of AI-enabled vascular imaging and coronary physiology assessment tools. The deal is intended to strengthen Philips’ image-guided therapy business by adding SpectraWAVE’s HyperVue Imaging System and X1-FFR software for intravascular imaging and angio-derived fractional flow reserve assessment.

Enlitic Acquires LAITEK to Expand Medical Imaging Data Capabilities

Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire OrthoGrid Systems, Inc., a privately held medical technology company focused on AI-driven surgical guidance for total hip replacement. The deal adds OrthoGrid’s Hip AI fluoroscopy-based surgical assistance platform, two additional FDA-cleared orthopedic applications, and more than 40 patents, and is expected to close by the end of Q4 2024 subject to customary conditions.
