Salesforce to Acquire Own Company for $1.9 Billion

Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Own Company, a provider of data protection and data management solutions. The deal is valued at approximately $1.9 billion in cash (net of Salesforce’s roughly 10% stake), and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.

The investment will support the company's next phase of growth (organic and inorganic), while founder Alberto Ghisleni will reinvest and remain CEO; Project Informatica reported revenues above €130 million and about 230 employees.
