Regent Acquires Pearson Online Learning Services from Pearson

Pearson Plc has agreed to sell Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS), its international online program management (OPM) business, to Regent, a US-based private equity firm. The consideration is deferred and tied to 27.5% of POLS positive adjusted EBITDA each year for six years, plus a contingent 27.5% of proceeds from any future monetisation; Pearson will not share in loss-making periods. The sale concludes Pearson's strategic review of POLS and supports Pearson's portfolio reshaping toward lifelong learning.

Skillsoft and Churchill Capital Corp II Acquire Global Knowledge

Skillsoft (through its business combination with Churchill Capital Corp II) completed the acquisition of Global Knowledge Training LLC in a transaction announced in 2020 and closed June 11, 2021. The deal was reported at approximately $233 million and combines Global Knowledge’s IT and technology training capabilities with Skillsoft’s digital learning platform to expand enterprise learning content and modalities.

Learnit Acquires AcademyX
