Red Hat has completed its acquisition of Neural Magic, a company focused on software and algorithms that accelerate generative AI (gen AI) inference workloads. The deal adds Neural Magic’s expertise in inference performance engineering, model optimization, and open-source vLLM contributions to Red Hat’s hybrid-cloud AI platform, Red Hat AI.

All Blue Hexagon employees joined Qualys, with Blue Hexagon CEO Nayeem Islam joining as VP of product management; the deal closed on October 4, 2022 and was paid mostly in cash with a portion in stock.

The company expects the acquisition to close in the second quarter of Cisco’s fiscal year 2026 and says NeuralFabric’s modular model-development tools will strengthen Cisco’s enterprise AI platform initiatives such as Cisco AI Canvas.
