Platinum Equity has completed the acquisition of The HC Companies, a North American manufacturer of horticultural containers headquartered in Twinsburg, Ohio. Platinum Equity plans to invest in growth and operations, using HC as a platform for organic expansion and add-on acquisitions across adjacent product categories and geographies.

Jabil Acquires Pharmaceutics International (Pii)

Jabil has acquired Pharmaceutics International (Pii), a Hunt Valley, Maryland-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provides aseptic filling, lyophilization and oral solid dose manufacturing. The all-cash transaction represents an exit for a consortium led by Signet Healthcare Partners, Athyrium Capital Management, Hildred Capital and Pharmascience Inc., and brings Pii’s ~300+ employees and four-site campus into Jabil’s Pharmaceutical Solutions offering to expand its drug development and manufacturing capabilities.

Research Products International (RPI) Acquires AG Scientific, Inc.

Research Products International (RPI), a family-owned life-science products manufacturer and distributor, has acquired AG Scientific, Inc., a San Diego–based supplier of biochemical raw materials and laboratory reagents. AG Scientific will continue operating from its San Diego site as AG Scientific Holdings, LLC under RPI to expand RPI's U.S. footprint and global sourcing network for biochemical supplies.

Leadec Acquires Partners in Hygiene (PiH)

Leadec, a portfolio company of Triton Fund IV, acquired UK-based Partners in Hygiene (PiH) effective September 3, 2021 to strengthen its technical cleaning and hygiene capabilities and expand its footprint in the food & beverage industry. PiH, founded in 2006, operates 14 sites across the UK (based in Darlington) with more than 300 employees and will continue operating under Leadec with its teams and sites maintained.

Public Policy Holding Company (PPHC) announced a binding agreement to acquire TrailRunner International to expand its strategic communications capabilities and geographic reach. The deal is expected to close by April 1, 2025 and adds more than 80 full-time professionals across TrailRunner’s eight global offices to PPHC’s network.
