Palo Alto Networks agreed to acquire Chronosphere, an observability platform, for about $3.35 billion in cash and replacement equity awards (plus subject to adjustments), to advance AI-era observability and security. The acquisition integrates Chronosphere’s cloud-native telemetry with Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex AgentiX/AI-agent capabilities to enable real-time autonomous remediation. The deal was completed on January 29, 2026.
