1754 Properties LLC acquired the 319-room Marriott Winston‑Salem in downtown Winston‑Salem, North Carolina; Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) will continue to operate the hotel. 1754 plans to invest over $5 million to renovate meeting spaces, hallways and infrastructure to elevate the property and drive demand from business, convention and leisure travelers.

Westgate Resorts Acquires Vacation Ownership Sales (VOS) to Launch VI Resorts by Westgate

Westgate Resorts signed and then completed an agreement to purchase Bellevue, Washington-based Vacation Ownership Sales (VOS), the exclusive management and sales/marketing partner of VI Resorts. The deal renames the club offering to “VI Resorts by Westgate” and includes Westgate’s commitment to invest more than $4 million in marketing, branding, and technology enhancements.

Travel + Leisure Co. Acquires Accor Vacation Club for $48.4 Million

Travel + Leisure Co. agreed to acquire Accor’s vacation ownership business, Accor Vacation Club, in a $48.4 million deal. The agreement covers 24 resorts and nearly 30,000 members, with Travel + Leisure Co. expected to close in the first quarter of 2024 and immediately benefit earnings upon completion.

Evermore Partners and New Castle Hotels & Resorts Acquire Montana Marriott Portfolio

Denver-based Evermore Partners and Ridgefield-based New Castle Hotels & Resorts acquired the Montana Marriott Portfolio in downtown Missoula, Montana, comprising a 105-key AC Hotel by Marriott, a 175-key Residence Inn by Marriott, and The Mercantile (approx. 20,000 sq. ft. of retail). The co-sponsors said the acquisition expands their presence in the Rocky Mountain region and broadens New Castle's management platform to the West.

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust Acquires Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust acquired the 369-room Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida for $270 million from an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners, LLC. The oceanfront lifestyle resort will continue to be managed by Davidson Hospitality Group and becomes part of Pebblebrook's Curator Hotel & Resort Collection as the REIT seeks to expand its footprint in South Florida.

Hyatt Hotels Acquires Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation completed its acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V., an all-inclusive resort owner, operator and developer with properties in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The transaction expands Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection by adding 15 all-inclusive resorts, including brands already represented in Hyatt’s system (Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara) as well as additional resort properties.
