MAPEI has acquired the Resins business unit from SMAC (an OpenGate Capital portfolio company), including Resipoly and Eurosyntec. The divestiture completes SMAC’s exit from its manufacturing division as the company refocuses on its core works business (Travaux); terms were not disclosed.

Pacific Avenue Capital Partners has formed Resin Solutions LLC to acquire the Poly bd, Wingtack, and Dymalink product lines from TotalEnergies' Cray Valley in a corporate carve-out. The deal includes four U.S. production sites, one site in Italy, global customer relationships, and establishes Resin Solutions (headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania) as a standalone specialty functional additives platform under Pacific Avenue Fund I, L.P.; Joan Braca and Anthony Glauser were named CEO and CFO.

Ltd. has acquired ELIX Polymers, a leading European manufacturer of ABS resins, from an affiliate of Sun European Partners for an enterprise value of €195 million. ELIX — headquartered in Tarragona, Spain — was owned by Sun European Partners since 2012, during which time the PE owner improved operations and materially increased EBITDA prior to the sale.

Mutares to Acquire SABIC Engineering Thermoplastics Business for $450 Million

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA signed an agreement to acquire SABIC’s Engineering Thermoplastics (ETP) business in the Americas and Europe for an enterprise value of $450 million. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory and other approvals. The acquisition establishes Mutares’ new “Chemicals & Materials” segment, with SABIC’s ETP unit positioned as the segment’s core platform, and it is intended to expand specialty chemicals and advanced materials capabilities.

Siparex ETI, with co-investors Carvest, BNP Paribas Développement, AfricInvest and Desjardins Capital, signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Sintex NP, the European arm of India's Sintex Group. Sintex NP is a leading European processor of polymers, composites and precision metal engineering with ~2,800 employees and €275m in sales (2018); the investment will support accelerated growth via acquisitions and international expansion, particularly into North America.
