Barracuda Networks has acquired SKOUT Cybersecurity, a Melville, New York-based provider of an XDR platform and 24x7 SOC services optimized for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The deal, announced in July 2021 and completed July 13, 2021, expands Barracuda's MSP-focused security portfolio by adding SKOUT's XDR technology and managed detection-and-response capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

Thoma Bravo Acquires Calabrio from KKR

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm focused on software, has completed the acquisition of Calabrio, a cloud-first customer experience intelligence and workforce engagement management software company, from KKR. The deal will provide Calabrio with new capital and Thoma Bravo's operational expertise to accelerate the company’s cloud-first growth, organic product investment and targeted inorganic expansion.

Broadway Technology Acquires Barracuda FX

Long Ridge-backed Broadway Technology has acquired Barracuda FX, an Irish provider of FX order management technology, to expand Broadway’s multi-asset trading and OMS capabilities. As part of the deal Barracuda FX leadership—CEO Kieran Fitzpatrick and COO Maurice Curran—will join Broadway to lead FX product and operations, accelerating product capability expansion and cross-selling to a combined client base that includes many of the world’s largest banks.

Barracuda Acquires Fyde

Barracuda Networks acquired Fyde, a Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) provider based in Palo Alto, California (with an office in Porto, Portugal), to add ZTNA capabilities to its CloudGen SASE platform. The Fyde solution was rebranded/rolled into Barracuda CloudGen Access and made available immediately to businesses and soon to Managed Service Providers; financial terms were not disclosed.

Thoma Bravo Completes Acquisition of Imperva

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm, completed its acquisition of cybersecurity company Imperva, Inc., taking the company private after shareholders approved the $55.75 per-share cash deal. Imperva’s common stock was removed from the Nasdaq following the close as Thoma Bravo said it will partner with management to accelerate growth and build a market-leading data and application security business.

Thoma Bravo Acquires Darktrace

Thoma Bravo agreed to acquire Darktrace, a cybersecurity artificial intelligence platform provider, for an all-cash deal valued at about $5.315 billion (enterprise value about $4.992 billion). The acquisition was later formally completed, with the Scheme of Arrangement becoming effective.
