Hyundai Motor Group acquired an 80% controlling interest in Boston Dynamics from SoftBank, valuing the mobile-robotics company at about US$1.1 billion. The acquisition is intended to accelerate Hyundai's transformation into a smart mobility solutions provider by integrating Boston Dynamics' advanced robotics capabilities across manufacturing, logistics and automation applications.
