Honeywell Acquires Majority Stake in Fiplex Communications

Honeywell has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Fiplex Communications, a Miami-based maker of in-building wireless systems (BDAs and Fiber DAS) used for public-safety radio coverage. The deal will expand Honeywell Building Technologies' in-building connectivity and life-safety offerings; terms were not disclosed and the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

NV5 Acquires Technical Design Services, Inc.

NV5 Global, Inc. acquired Technical Design Services, Inc. (TDSi), a Chicago-based provider of data center and technology infrastructure design and consulting services. The deal (cash and stock) expands NV5's capabilities in data center, audiovisual, security, and telecommunications design, adds recurring revenue (approximately 80% of TDSi's revenue), and strengthens NV5's relationships in the aviation and government sectors.

Honeywell Acquires SCADAfence

Honeywell has agreed to acquire SCADAfence, an Israel-based provider of operational-technology (OT) and IoT cybersecurity solutions, to expand its Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity+ suite. The deal will integrate SCADAfence's asset-discovery, threat-detection and governance capabilities into Honeywell's OT cybersecurity offerings and is expected to close in the second half of 2023, subject to customary approvals.

Siemens Digital Industries Software Acquires Avery Design Systems

Siemens Digital Industries Software has signed an agreement to acquire Avery Design Systems, a simulation-independent verification IP supplier headquartered in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The acquisition will add Avery's verification IP and compliance test-suite technology to Siemens' Xcelerator portfolio to strengthen Siemens' integrated circuit verification offerings.
