Honeywell Acquires Rocky Research

Honeywell has acquired privately held Rocky Research, a Boulder City, Nevada-based technology leader in thermal, energy and power management solutions, and will integrate the business into Honeywell Aerospace. Rocky Research's founder and sole owner Uwe Rockenfeller will join Honeywell and the company's Boulder City and Huntsville locations will continue to support R&D, integration and testing. Terms were not disclosed.

L3Harris Technologies has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc. for $58 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $4.7 billion inclusive of net debt. The deal, financed with cash and new debt, will combine Aerojet Rocketdyne’s propulsion and energetics capabilities (about $2.3 billion in revenue and ~5,200 employees) with L3Harris to strengthen defense propulsion, hypersonics and missile-defense offerings; the transaction is expected to close subject to regulatory approvals in 2023.

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee‑owned prime contractor based in Huntsville, Alabama, has acquired Phased n Research, a radar and electronic warfare (EW) engineering firm founded in 2018. The deal brings Phasedn’s radar, modeling & simulation, and EW capabilities into Radiance’s portfolio; founder Dr. Bassem Mahafza will move to an emeritus/advisor role and Dr. Mark Tillman will become President of Phasedn to ensure continuity and alignment with Department of Defense modernization efforts.

Honeywell Acquires Sundyne for $2.16 Billion

Honeywell has completed its $2.16 billion all-cash acquisition of Sundyne from private equity firm Warburg Pincus. Sundyne supplies highly engineered pumps and gas compressors with aftermarket services, which Honeywell will integrate under its Honeywell Forge platform to expand process industry capabilities and aftermarket revenue.
