Eaton Acquires 50% Stake in Jiangsu Huineng Electric's Circuit Breaker Business

Eaton has completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in the circuit breaker business of Jiangsu Huineng Electric Co., Ltd., creating a strategic partnership to combine Huineng’s low-voltage circuit breaker products with Eaton’s global distribution and capabilities. The deal positions Eaton to better serve high-growth end markets in China — including renewable energy, grid modernization, commercial buildings and industrial customers — while leveraging Huineng’s manufacturing base in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu.

Eaton Acquires 49% Stake in Jiangsu Ryan Electrical Co. Ltd.

Eaton completed the acquisition of a 49% minority stake in Jiangsu Ryan Electrical Co. Ltd., a Nantong, Jiangsu-based manufacturer of power distribution and sub-transmission transformers. The deal gives Eaton greater access to Ryan’s manufacturing capabilities and China/Asia-Pacific customers as it expands its presence in renewable energy, data center, utility and industrial end markets.

Legrand Acquires Power Bus Way

Legrand has acquired Power Bus Way, a Toronto-based specialist in custom cable bus power busbars serving data centers, industrial facilities and large commercial projects. Power Bus Way employs more than 120 people and generates around €70 million in annual revenue; the business will join Legrand's Electrical Wiring Systems division to broaden its cable bus offering and strengthen its North American data center power capabilities. Terms were not disclosed.

BAIYU Holdings to Acquire Shenzhen Jintongyuan Energy Storage Technology

BAIYU Holdings, Inc. entered into a definitive share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Shenzhen Jintongyuan Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. for RMB 750 million (approximately US$105 million). The deal is expected to close in or around September 2024 and will expand BAIYU into the renewable energy storage battery market.

Eaton Acquires Royal Power Solutions from Industrial Growth Partners
