AirX Climate Solutions Acquires Northern Air Systems

AirX Climate Solutions, Inc. acquired Northern Air Systems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of specialized, mission-critical packaged HVAC systems. The acquisition is intended to strengthen AirX’s leadership in mission-critical HVAC by adding Northern Air’s engineering capabilities and global presence across demanding verticals. Tim Confer will transition to a Strategic Advisor role at AirX, while Will Rausch will lead Northern Air as General Manager.

DXP Enterprises Acquires Drydon Equipment and Burlingame Engineers

The deals were funded with cash and DXP common stock; combined trailing-12-month sales for the two businesses were approximately $10.3 million and the transactions are expected to be accretive to earnings.

Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), a Frontenac-backed motion and control distributor, has acquired Diversified Air Systems (DAS), a Cleveland-based stocking distributor of air compressors, vacuum and water recovery systems, and related services. DAS — which employs 42 people across four locations in Ohio and western Pennsylvania — will operate as a division of MCE under the Diversified Air Systems name, expanding MCE's fluid power and aftermarket service capabilities.

The business — which generated approximately $10.3 million in sales and $1.8 million of adjusted EBITDA for the trailing twelve months ended May 30, 2025 — will expand DXP's rotating equipment division and Gulf Coast service capabilities; the deal was funded from DXP's balance sheet.
