Blackstone Energy Transition Partners Makes Majority Investment in Westwood Professional Services

Private equity funds affiliated with Blackstone (Blackstone Energy Transition Partners) have agreed to make a majority investment in Westwood Professional Services, Inc., acquiring the stake held by Endurance Partners and Palm Beach Capital while Westwood management and employee shareholders retain a minority interest. Westwood, a Plano, Texas–based engineering and design firm with more than 1,600 employees, serves renewables, power, real estate and public infrastructure end markets and will leverage Blackstone's resources to expand capabilities across those markets.

Expedition, Tecum and Ironwood Capital Recapitalize Cox Transportation Services

Expedition Capital Partners and Tecum Capital led a majority recapitalization of Cox Transportation Services, with subordinated debt and a minority equity investment from Ironwood Capital to back CEO Jay Smith. Cox, a truckload freight carrier and brokerage founded in 1982 and based in Ashland, Virginia, will use the capital to pursue organic growth and add-on acquisitions to expand its routes and customer base.

Searchlight Capital Partners to Acquire Majority Stake in Integrated Power Services

Energy Capital Partners (ECP) has acquired Triple Oak Power from EnCap Energy Transition Fund I and its co-investors Yorktown Partners and Mercuria Energy. Triple Oak, a Portland-based wind project developer with a pipeline of more than 8.0 GW, will partner with ECP to accelerate project development and scale its renewable energy platform in the U.S.
