CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. agreed to acquire Preempt Security for approximately $96 million (about $86 million cash and $10 million in stock/options) to bolster its Zero Trust and conditional access capabilities. The acquisition, expected to close in CrowdStrike's fiscal third quarter 2021, will integrate Preempt's identity- and behavior-based access controls into the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to improve protection against identity-based and insider threats.
