Cardinal Health entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Integrated Oncology Network (ION), a physician-led independent community oncology network, for $1.115 billion in cash. As part of the deal, ION practices are expected to join Cardinal Health’s Navista oncology practice alliance and receive Navista’s advanced analytics and technology offerings.

The Specialty Alliance (Cardinal Health’s multi-specialty MSO platform) will add Solaris Health’s more than 750 providers and 250+ practice locations, with Cardinal Health funding the deal with approximately $1.9 billion in cash and new debt and owning about 75% of The Specialty Alliance post-close.
