The assets — Cedar Ridge (Idaho, solar + storage), Remington (Oregon, standalone BESS) and Champlain (New York, solar) — expand RWE's footprint in the Pacific Northwest and New York and add development-stage capacity to its U.S. pipeline.

Exagon Impact Capital Acquires Controlling Stake in SunRoof

Exagon Impact Capital acquired a controlling stake in SunRoof, a Latin American renewable energy platform with operations in Chile and Mexico, as the second portfolio company for its Exagon Latin America Fund I (XLA I). The investment will support SunRoof’s expansion in Mexico and accelerate distributed generation solar adoption across commercial and industrial customers through its build-and-hold ESCO model and patented solar panel cleaning technology.

Spruce Finance Acquires Clearway Energy's Residential Solar Portfolio (53 MW)

Spruce Finance acquired Clearway Energy's entire portfolio of residential rooftop solar assets, adding 53 MW and expanding Spruce's portfolio by roughly 20% to more than 250 MW. The deal supports Spruce's growth-by-acquisition strategy for distributed generation residential solar in the U.S.; Energy Service Experts (Spruce's subsidiary) will provide transitional asset management services in partnership with NRG.

BlackRock Diversified Infrastructure Acquires Jupiter Power

BlackRock Alternatives’ Diversified Infrastructure business agreed to acquire Jupiter Power LLC, a U.S. developer and operator of stand-alone utility-scale battery energy storage systems. EnCap Energy Transition Fund I, along with co-investment partners Yorktown Partners and Mercuria Energy, are selling Jupiter, with closing expected in late 2022 subject to customary conditions.
