Italian technology company Bending Spoons has completed the acquisition of Issuu, the Palo Alto–headquartered digital publishing platform. Bending Spoons said it will leverage its platform technologies and expertise to expand Issuu's reach and product capabilities; Issuu counts more than one million creators and marketers and reported ~100 million unique users per month.

Italy-based app operator Bending Spoons has completed the acquisition of komoot, the Berlin-based route-planning and outdoor navigation platform. The deal brings komoot’s community of about 45 million users under Bending Spoons’ ownership as the buyer aims to scale the product using its platform and product-growth capabilities.

Italian app developer Bending Spoons has acquired California-based MileIQ Inc, a provider of automatic mileage-tracking and expense reporting services for self-employed users and enterprise customers. Bending Spoons retained JP Morgan and Willkie Farr & Gallagher as advisors and reportedly secured financing support (led by Silver Point with participation from Blackstone and others) for the transaction.

Bending Spoons to Acquire Eventbrite in ~$500M All-Cash Deal

Eventbrite has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Bending Spoons in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $500 million. Eventbrite stockholders will receive $4.50 per share (an 82% premium), and the deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026 subject to regulatory and stockholder approvals.
