Ascensus Specialties LLC, a Wind Point Partners-backed specialty chemicals platform, has completed the acquisition of Strem Chemicals, a Newburyport, Massachusetts-based maker of high-purity research-grade catalysts, ligands, organometallics and CVD/ALD precursors. The deal brings Strem's custom synthesis and cGMP manufacturing capabilities into the Ascensus platform to expand lab-to-commercial scale offerings and accelerate R&D and product development.

Azelis Acquires Whitfield Chemical Group (WhitChem) in the UK

The transaction, signed and closed on October 10, 2022, is valued at approximately EUR 83 million; Briar operates a large 115-acre manufacturing site with around 250 employees.
