Applus+ has signed a definitive agreement to acquire APEM Group for approximately £335m. The acquisition expands Applus+ into high-growth environmental consultancy and will create a new global Environmental Services business expected to close before year end, subject to regulatory approvals.

WestBridge-backed APEM Group has acquired GoBe Consultants, a UK planning and environmental consultancy specialising in offshore wind and NSIP consenting. The Manchester-headquartered APEM also secured a £25m sustainability-linked refinance from Virgin Money to refinance existing facilities and support the acquisition; GoBe has offices in Devon and Glasgow and the combined group strengthens APEM's offshore wind capabilities.

Opus Inspection Acquires Applus Technologies, Inc.

Opus Inspection, Inc. signed an agreement to purchase 100% of Applus Technologies, Inc. (ATI) and completed the acquisition in early 2023, after which ATI became a wholly owned subsidiary of Opus. The deal (a divestiture by Applus Services, S.A.) strengthens Opus’s inspection and technical services capabilities and expands its service offering to current and future customers.
