FARO Technologies Acquires GeoSLAM

FARO Technologies acquired UK-based GeoSLAM, a leader in mobile 3D scanning and SLAM software, in a transaction that closed September 1, 2022. The deal paid GeoSLAM shareholders £22.0 million cash plus 495,562 FARO shares and was funded from FARO’s cash reserves and equity consideration; GeoSLAM reported £14.5 million revenue (FY ended Mar 31, 2022) and ~18% EBITDA.

FARO Technologies Acquires SiteScape

FARO will integrate SiteScape’s mobile LiDAR capture capabilities into its FARO Sphere platform to expand its reality-capture offering and make low-resolution mobile scanning widely accessible to construction and facilities customers.

AMETEK Acquires Kern Microtechnik

AMETEK Acquires Abaco Systems from Veritas Capital for $1.35B

AMETEK, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Abaco Systems, Inc. from Veritas Capital in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.35 billion. Abaco, headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, is a provider of rugged embedded computing systems for aerospace, defense and specialized industrial markets with approximately $325 million in annual sales; the acquisition will fold Abaco into AMETEK's Electronic Instruments Group and is expected to close mid-2021 subject to customary approvals.

AMETEK Acquires Virtek Vision International
