AMD has completed the acquisition of MK1, a Mountain View, California-based AI startup focused on high-speed inference and reasoning technologies. MK1’s Flywheel and comprehension engine technologies—optimized for AMD Instinct GPUs and reportedly processing over one trillion tokens per day—will integrate into the AMD Artificial Intelligence Group to strengthen the company’s enterprise AI inference and reasoning capabilities.
