Aegion Corporation has acquired Infraspec Services, Inc., a Laval, Quebec-based trenchless water rehabilitation contractor that self-performs CIPP, sewer cleaning & inspection, grouting and lead pipeline replacement. Infraspec will continue to operate under its current name and management in Quebec as Aegion expands its capabilities and resources to better serve the Canadian municipal market.

Aegion Corporation has acquired 11 Enviro Group, a Greenpoint, Brooklyn-based provider of cleaning, CCTV inspection and trenchless CIPP spot repair services for water and wastewater pipelines. The business will operate as part of EN-TECH Infrastructure (an Aegion portfolio company) and founder Christina Camali will remain on board to support the transition.

Portland General Electric Agrees to Acquire PacifiCorp Washington Utility Operations for $1.9 Billion

Portland General Electric (PGE) has agreed to acquire select Washington state generation, transmission, and electric utility operations from PacifiCorp for $1.9 billion. The deal adds approximately 140,000 Washington customers and includes three generation facilities plus about 4,500 miles of transmission and distribution lines, with regulatory reviews expected to complete about 12 months after filing.

Aecon Utilities Acquires Majority Stake in Xtreme Powerline Construction

Aecon Utilities Group Inc., a subsidiary of Aecon Group Inc., has acquired a majority interest in Xtreme Powerline Construction for a base purchase price of approximately US$73 million. The acquisition expands Aecon Utilities' U.S. electrical distribution capabilities and footprint — Xtreme, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Port Huron, Michigan, has ~300 employees and long-standing relationships with utility clients including DTE Energy.
