Battery Ventures has made a strategic growth investment in AdaCore SAS to support the company's expansion of high-integrity software development tools for safety- and security-critical systems. The capital will be used to enhance AdaCore's product portfolio — including static/dynamic analysis, formal methods, machine learning and safety-certification capabilities — while Robbie Payne (Battery EIR) will join AdaCore's board; DDA & Company served as AdaCore's exclusive financial advisor.

Cadence Acquires Secure-IC

Battery Ventures has acquired GrammaTech's software products division, including the CodeSonar and CodeSentry product lines, and established the business as a new independent company, CodeSecure, Inc., headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. The investment is intended to drive growth of the application security testing product portfolio and enable CodeSecure to expand across end markets such as automotive, aerospace & defense and medical devices while GrammaTech retains its cybersecurity research and services business.

Cycode Acquires Bearer

Application security platform Cycode has acquired Bearer, a SAST startup that also provides API discovery and data-leak protection, to integrate Bearer’s AI-powered static analysis and remediation capabilities into its Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) platform. Financial terms were not disclosed; Cycode will migrate Bearer customers onto its platform over time and use Bearer’s engine and AI assistant to deepen scanning, precision, and remediation workflows.

SecurityBridge Acquires CyberSafe

SecurityBridge has acquired CyberSafe, a UK-based pioneer of MFA and SSO solutions for SAP, integrating CyberSafe's TrustBroker products into SecurityBridge's SAP-native cybersecurity platform to deliver contextual, passwordless MFA and enhanced authentication controls. The deal expands SecurityBridge's capabilities for SAP user authentication by adding policy-based MFA, step-up authentication, and SSO that respond to real-time threat signals across the SAP application layer.
